No, ecofloss products do not contain any harmful or allergenic substances (bisphenols, Teflon, beeswax, rosin, colophonium or animal ingredients).

The floss is a high-density polyethylene without additives of wax or perfluorinated substances. The floss is impregnated with synthetically produced mint.

All ecofloss products, including bags, are made of cornstarch (PLA). The picks and bags can be left with ordinary household refuse that goes for incineration.

Position the floss between your teeth and carefully move the pick up and down along the dental enamel. If you want your teeth to be extra clean, you can apply toothpaste to the floss. Apply light pressure so that you do not damage the gums. When you hear a squeaking sound, you know that all the bacteria have been removed from the surface of the tooth. 

Children should not use floss without guidance by a dentist, a dental nurse or an adult, as the teeth are not fully developed before the age of 13 and the gums or enamel may be damaged.

Ecofloss will be introduced onto the Nordic market during the autumn of 2019 and will be available in selected pharmacies and in the grocery trade. The ecofloss concept includes various oral care products focused on reducing the use of fossil plastics. Ecofloss is a registered trademark in Europe and the United States.
